At Mix It UP Custom Painting, we believe that no corners should ever be cut to deliver you a dream kitchen. Our team has an extensive knowledge kitchen make-overs from start to finish. We work with industry leaders and stay current with the trends. We know how to do it and will stay on budget and keep the timeline that has been agreed upon. Whether you choose to refinish your current kitchen cabinets or have new cabinets installed, we know the best process and products to give you lasting finish for years to come!

I am a DIY girl at heart. I never shy away from starting a home project and get so much satisfaction when it goes well. But the thing is, not all DIY projects go well. It's hard and time-consuming and often the results just aren't good. 

My husband and I built our home in 1993, and our once-lovely honey oak kitchen did NOT stand the test of time. It had turned orange, the clear coat was flaking off and it generally had lost it's appeal. As a DIY'er I decided to tackle the job and refinish my cabinets. It took months of hard work, back-and-forths to the home improvement stores and a lot of meals were take out because my kitchen was "under construction". But I perservered and it actually turned out amazing. Friends started asking me to refinish their cabinets, and I got better and better with the process and the results. 

In 2014 I decided to "GO BIG OR GO HOME" and I found our current studio and workshop in south OP. That was a game changer. Since 2014 this business has grown, thanks in part to those who we partner with. We began working with professional designers, contractors and cabinetry builders. We’ve each attended numerous classes on technique, product finishes, marketing and design. No longer just a DIYer, I have built our cabinet refinishing business to a  professional level, based on word of mouth, partnerships and social media

We have a growing team of amazing women who all share our love of creativity, hard work and fun.

We don't like messes! So we wouldn't expect you to, either. Our process is timely and efficient leaving you with little down time and minimal mess all the while making sure you are left with a quality cabinet finish. We know what it's like to be busy so we will work with your schedule to ensure your kitchen or bath project is completed on time.

We are an all female team with over 30 years combined experience in cabinet refinishing, painting and staining. Our team stays current with the latest trends and newest and best products.
